Texas Added A Total Of 43,800 Jobs In September And October

In October, seven of Texas 11 major industry groups added jobs, led by the leisure and hospitality (+7,600 jobs). Also, professional and business services added 5,000 jobs and trade, transportation and utilities added 3,700. Every major industry in the state showed positive growth over visit here the last 12 months. The Texas seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 6.2 percent in October, from 6.3 percent in September and from 6.4 percent in August. The state rate is well below the nations jobless rate of 7.3 percent for October.
